🧱 About Tengachaya Lantern
The Tengachaya Tourou is named after the historic teahouse area "Tenga Chaya" in Nishinari Ward, Osaka, which dates back to the 1590s when Toyotomi Hideyoshi visited Sumiyoshi Shrine and praised the tea served there. This lantern is inspired by the teahouse's ambiance and tradition.
Each piece is handcrafted using granite quarried in Japan. The parts are shaped by hammering with chisels and traditional stonemason tools. The fire bowl features an openwork lattice carving, creating a luxurious and refined appearance.
This is a natural stone product with small white inclusions (biotite) and black parts (iron or biotite).
