🧱 About Oribe Stone Lantern
The Oribe lantern is believed to have been designed by Shigenori Furuta (Furuta Oribe), a military commander and tea master from the Sengoku to Edo period. Its distinctive style is highly regarded in traditional Japanese gardens.
This product is handmade using coarse stone quarried in Japan. The rough stone is machine-cut to approximate size and then refined by hand. It consists of six parts: ball, hat, fire bag, receiver, pillar, and base. The outline is shaped with a grinder to achieve precise edges, and all parts are glued together for easy installation.
The black granite base enhances the authentic Japanese atmosphere. This lantern is a carefully crafted work of art made by Japanese artisans with heartfelt dedication.
