🧱 About Oribe Lantern
Mini Size Oribe Stone Lantern
This type of lantern is said to have been invented by Shigenori Furuta (commonly known as Furuta Oribe), a military commander and tea master from the Sengoku to Edo period, which is why it is called an Oribe lantern.
This product is handcrafted using coarse stone quarried in Japan. We cut the raw stone to the maximum size by machine and then process it by hand. The product consists of six parts: a ball, a hat, a fire bag, a receiver, a pillar, and a base.
The outline is shaped using a grinder to ensure sharp edges. The brown granite base provides a distinctly Japanese atmosphere. All parts are pre-glued for easy installation. This piece is carefully crafted by Japanese artisans with heartfelt dedication.
