Hotei Stone Statue – 2000 Model, Hand-Carved Nebukawa Stone
Thank you for visiting our store. This Hotei stone statue is a 2000 model masterpiece, hand-carved by a top stonemason in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture. Made from Nebukawa stone (produced in Kanagawa Prefecture), it features a unique natural texture and a refined, spiritual presence.
The black parts of the stone are natural iron or mica. Please note that the base has sharp points, so we recommend wearing gloves when handling this piece.

About the Craftsmanship
Inagaki Stoneworks, founded in 1927, has been devoted to the art of stonecraft for nearly a century. The founder, Seiichi Inagaki, left behind a legacy of monumental stonework, from statues over 2 meters tall to historic restoration projects, including the Matsumae Castle stone wall repair in Hokkaido.
The second-generation founder, Hideo Inagaki, earned the Traditional Craft Industry Grand Prize. Their works, including a stone statue at Kenninji Temple (one of Kyoto’s Five Mountains), reflect their commitment to preserving traditional Japanese stone artistry.
