Child Mini Jizo – Natsuyama Stone from Okazaki
Thank you for visiting our store.
2019 Model / In Stock
Description
This charming Jizo statue is carved from Natsuyama Stone, a rare granite quarried in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Known for its fine grain and density, it’s ideal for intricate handwork.
In Japanese tradition, Jizo is a guardian deity believed to watch over children and travelers. This particular statue features a child-like, friendly face to express universal kindness.
The black specks on the surface are natural iron elements in the stone. The statue will naturally develop a mossy texture over time, enhancing its aesthetic charm in garden settings.
