About Mannari Stone
Mannari Stone, quarried in Okayama City, is a hornblende biotite granite formed about 84 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous period. Known for its warm pink hue, it is often called “Sakura Granite.”
With excellent hardness, durability, and water resistance, Mannari Stone has been widely used for tombstones, lanterns, monuments, and architecture. Its elegant color and ability to take a fine polish make it suitable for both traditional and modern designs. It is recognized as one of Japan’s three most celebrated granites.
