Misaki Stone Lantern
This authentic Japanese stone lantern consists of five parts, carefully handcrafted from Okazaki granite. The black parts are natural mica and iron, adding unique character to the stone. Please check the photos for details.
About the Stone
Okazaki Stone is a high-quality granite formed approximately 90 million years ago. Quarried in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, it is known for its fine grain and excellent workability. It has long been used in traditional Japanese stonecraft such as stone lanterns, Jizo statues, and other cultural stoneworks.
