"Ushi-iwa Aoi-ishi" (Ushi-iwa Bluestone) is quarried in Hakoyanagi-cho, Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture. It is known for its fine grain and strong luster when polished. This premium stone is widely used for gravestones, monuments, and notable memorials. Its name “Ushi-iwa” (Cow Rock) originates from a large rock resembling a cow that once stood in the area.
