Ebisu is a Japanese deity and one of the Seven Lucky Gods (Shichifukujin). He is typically depicted wearing court robes (kariginu), holding a fishing rod in his right hand, and a sea bream (tai) under his left arm. In addition to being a symbol of good fortune and prosperity, “Ebisu” is also linked to a traditional New Year’s street performance known as Ebisu Mawashi, where entertainers would manipulate Ebisu dolls as part of celebratory folk entertainment.

🪨 About Ushi-iwa Blue Stone

"Ushi-iwa Aoi-ishi" (Ushi-iwa Bluestone) is a premium granite quarried in the Ushi-iwa area of Hakoyanagi-cho, Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture. Known for its fine grain and strong luster when polished, it is widely used for high-grade gravestones and monuments, including the graves of notable figures. The name “Ushi-iwa” (Cow Rock) originates from a large cow-shaped rock that once stood in the area.
