Oshima Stone is a fine white granite quarried from Iyo-Oshima Island in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, Japan. Formed approximately 90 million years ago, it is recognized alongside Aji Stone as a premium monument-grade material from the Seto Inland Sea region.
Characterized by its hardness and uniform grain, Oshima Stone is widely used for tombstones, monuments, and architectural elements throughout Japan.
These elegant prayer beads have been carefully handcrafted in Kyoto, the heart of traditional Juzu-making. Skilled artisans polished each bead to a crystal-like finish and packaged it in a traditional paulownia wood box.
