Makabe Stone is a natural granite quarried in Makabe, Sakuragawa City, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. Formed from magma approximately 60 million years ago, this stone has journeyed through geologic time to become one of Japan’s most beautiful and reliable architectural materials.
