🛠 Craftsmanship

This product is handcrafted using granite quarried in Japan. The stone is cut from raw material, and the outline is manually crafted. While traditional stone Gorinto (five-element pagodas) are generally assembled from multiple components, a small Gorinto carved from a single stone, from the base (earth ring) to the top (void ring), is called an Isshaku Gorinto. These were common during the Muromachi to early Edo periods and often used as grave markers. This piece is carefully and lovingly crafted by Japanese artisans. The small black specks on the surface are natural biotite/iron.

🏡 Suggested Use
