Stone Description
The stone has a light beige or sandy tan tone with natural mineral speckles. Black, gray, and dark brown spots appear across the surface. These small specks are part of the natural character of granite and may include biotite and iron.
This natural texture gives the piece a quiet and earthy appearance. It works well as a small Japanese garden ornament, a bonsai display accent, or an indoor decorative stone object.
Also called
Five-element pagoda (Gorinto). This piece is carved as a single, continuous form rather than assembled from multiple components.
About This Gorinto
Traditional stone Gorinto, or five-element pagodas, are generally assembled from multiple stone components. A small Gorinto carved from a single stone, from the base to the top, is sometimes called an Isshaku Gorinto.
Historically, Gorinto were commonly seen from the 15th century through the early 17th century, and they were often used as grave markers. Today, many collectors and Japanese garden enthusiasts choose them as symbolic objects because of their simple form, architectural balance, and connection to Japanese stone traditions.
This piece is carefully handcrafted by Japanese artisans. The small black specks on the surface are natural mineral features of the stone.
