🪨 About Oribe Lanterns

This type of lantern is said to have been invented by Shigenori Furuta (commonly known as Furuta Oribe), a military commander and tea master during the Sengoku to Edo periods, which is why it is called an Oribe lantern.

The lantern is handmade using coarse granite quarried in Japan. The product consists of six parts: a ball, a hat, a fire bag, a receiver, a pillar, and a base. The outline is shaped with a grinder for sharp edges and carefully processed for a refined finish.
