Japanstones.shop ships Japanese stone products to customers around the world. For this shipment, we sent a Shiba Inu Granite Stone Statue from Japan to the United States using DHL international air service.
This small Shiba Inu granite stone sculpture was made in 2025 from Aji Stone “Sabi-ishi”, a type of Japanese granite.
Sabi-ishi develops its distinctive reddish-brown appearance as Aji Stone undergoes natural weathering and oxidation over a long period of time. Iron-bearing minerals in the granite contribute to these natural color variations, giving it a different appearance from more uniformly colored Aji Stone.

Shipping a Shiba Inu Granite Stone Statue to the United States by DHL
This small granite stone sculpture captures the upright ears, facial expression, front legs, and body outline of a Shiba Inu.
To protect the granite surface and projecting areas such as the ears, we first wrapped the entire statue with packing paper. Bubble wrap was then added around the outside before the statue was placed inside the cardboard box.
Additional packing paper was placed in the remaining open spaces inside the box to help keep the granite statue from shifting during transportation.

Packing for the Three-Dimensional Shape of the Granite Statue
Unlike a flat stone product, this Shiba Inu granite statue has three-dimensional features such as upright ears, a carved face, and defined legs. For this reason, the entire statue was wrapped with packing paper to protect the granite surface and projecting areas.
Bubble wrap was added around the paper-wrapped statue before it was placed inside the cardboard box. Additional packing paper was used inside the box to fill open spaces and reduce movement during transportation.
The bottom of the cardboard box was reinforced with hot glue to help prevent it from opening under the weight of the stone product.
