Shipping the Yukimi Stone Lantern in Two Packages
This Yukimi Stone Lantern consists of a separate Kasa section and leg section. We protected each stone section individually and placed them in two different cardboard boxes so that the pieces would not come into direct contact during transportation.
We did not use standard bubble wrap for this shipment. Instead, we used cushioning mats designed for stone products to protect the stone surfaces and edges. Corrugated cardboard was also added to create protective layers that followed the shape of each section.

Packing with Cushioning Mats for Stone Products
We did not use standard bubble wrap for this shipment. The Kasa section and leg section were individually wrapped with cushioning mats that could follow the stone surfaces, edges, and stepped areas.
Corrugated cardboard was placed around the outside of the cushioning mats to create protective layers that matched the shape of each section. Separating the Kasa section and leg section into different boxes prevented the stone pieces from coming into contact during transportation.
The bottom of each cardboard box was reinforced with hot glue to help prevent the box bottom from opening under the weight of the stone product.
Packing Materials Used
| Stone cushioning mats | Used to cover the stone surfaces, edges, and stepped areas of the Kasa section and leg section and cushion them against contact and impact during transportation. |
|---|---|
| Corrugated cardboard | Placed around the sections wrapped with cushioning mats to reinforce the outside and create additional protective layers. |
| Cardboard boxes | Used as two separate outer shipping boxes for the Kasa section and leg section. |
| Hot glue | Used to reinforce the bottoms of both cardboard boxes and help prevent them from opening under the weight of the stone sections. |
| Packing tape | Used to secure the stone cushioning mats and corrugated cardboard and to seal the outer boxes. |
| Stretch wrap | Used around both sealed outer boxes to secure and reinforce the exterior packaging. |
| UPS international shipping document pouches | Used to attach customs invoices and other international shipping documents to the outer boxes. |
