This created a softer layer around the raised edges so pressure would be less likely to collect on the scalloped chrysanthemum-style shape. After this step, the item was wrapped again with bubble wrap for added outer protection.

The bottom of the cardboard box was reinforced in advance with hot glue so it could support the weight of about 28 lbs / 12.7 kg. We also added a cardboard sheet to the bottom of the box and secured it with hot glue for extra strength.
