Gray Stone Gorinto Small Granite Japanese Garden Ornament Statue
Description
Granite Stone : Kitagi Stone (Okazaki Aichi Japan)
While traditional stone Gorinto (five-element pagodas) are generally assembled from multiple components,
a small Gorinto carved from a single stone from the base (earth ring) to the top (void ring) is specifically called an "Isshaku Gorinto".
Isshaku Gorinto were commonly seen from the Muromachi period (mid-15th century) to the early Edo period (mid-17th century) and were primarily used as grave markers.
This piece is carefully and lovingly crafted by Japanese artisans.
